In the neighbourhood of Villar are the mansions built by migrants from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.


 

The Lighthouse of Luarca

Faro de Luarca   The lighthouse of Luarca is located in La Atalaya, in the end Focicón, closing the inlet port from the east, about three hundred meters from the town.

 

Mesa de Mareantes

This site was made between 1955 and 1959 on the ruins of an ancient fortress of the XVI century in which was built a stretch of battlement.


 

Iconic buildings

Miradores
Luarca has a rich architectural. Among the town, the most outstanding buildings is the Palacio del Marqués de Ferrera, partly built in the thirteenth century, or the City Hall.

 

La Atalaya

La Atalaya   It is situated on a promontory which served as defensive bulwark against attacks from the sea, according to Don JE Casariego could have been built in the thirteenth century, but underwent several renovations in later centuries.

 

Viewpoints

Miradores   This village located between two mountain, offers visitors excellent views from its two sides.. On the right side is the viewpoint of the Funiar, and on the left side is the viewpoint of El Chano.
