Rural Ethnographic Museum

The Ethnographic Museum of Rural life of Luarca is located on a farm of 15.000m2 in the typical village of San Martin at 1.8 km from Luarca. It has 1,300 pieces selected and displayed and educationally showed in 12 opened spaces which rebuilt the domestic environment, social and employment for more than a century. Many agricultural implements part of a sample of tools used in livestock and farming work devoted to recall the traditional work in rural areas.
The fact that this museum was built at the initiative of its owner Ramón Fernández López, has equipped Luarca and Valdés Council with a great place to observe the customs, captured with stunning realism that it is certainly a high educational value, both for schoolchildren and students and visitors looking to discover or remember an important cultural past.
