In Cadavedo, la Regalina, celebrated on the last Sunday of August, is a renowned festival with high tourist interesting which retains a great asturian taste. All the villagers and many visitors take part in it and flock to the shrine dressed with the regional costume. Procession, raffle of afiladas (asturian buns), dances, picnic and beautiful colours define this event which occurring within a unique landscape. In its course we can hear the original version of a Jota composed in Cadavedo between 19 40 and 1950, with a potpourri of music. It recalls the structure of the traditional dances. The folk groups of the post-war spread it, and today there is  quite distorted in the repertoire of different musicians.
