Beaches

Sand and pebbles beaches appear in a continuous flow as discontinuities of the landscape in a scenic shoreline dotted with towering cliffs, giving the coast from Valdés a certainly exceptional variety and uniqueness. This extensive coastline is bounded on the east by the Cabo River and west by the Barayo River. The council of Valdes has lots of beaches that offer all sorts of possibilities for who want to enjoy them.

Within these possibilities, it is necessary to differentiate between beaches noted for its tourist attractions, suitable for swimming and recreation, and others which, due to their scenic or fishing interesting, or because of their high ecological value, deserve exceptional care in maintaining their environment.

Barayo Beach

		The councils of Navia and Valdés are limited by the river Barayo, which draws sharp meanders before his mouth. The Beach is frequented by naturists.

Cadavedo Beach

		Recomended! The Cadavedo Beach, also known as La Ribeirona, has a shell shape.

Cueva Beach

		Recomended! The wide beach of pebbles and sand is near the town of Cueva. It is located where the river Esva or Canero flows.

Otur Beach

		Recomended! It is a beach of great beauty and landscape value of nearly 600 meters long. The coves situated on the west are frequented by naturists.

Quintana Beach

		The Quintana Beach is accessible on foot from the town of the same name, using the opened course by a stream.

Salinas Beach

		Recomended! It is along the first and second beaches of Luarca. It completes the sandy beaches of the interesting village of Luarca, county council of Valdés.

Touran Beach

		Tourán beach is located in a beautiful cove near the village of Luarca.

Del Bozo Beach

		In the western side of the Busto cape is located the Bozo Beach. It is carved in the series of the ropes and consisting of quartz and slate, as most of the western beaches.

Campiecho Beach

		It is a beach near the resort of Cadavedo.

Los Molinos Beach

		It is reached from the core of Caroyas by a dirt road.

Portizuelo Beach

		Portizuelo is a stony beach of boulders, great beauty and interest for its picturesque landscape.

Sabugo Beach

		Sabugo is a sand and pebbles beach with shell shape.

Santa Ana Beach

		This beach belongs to the protected landscape of the West Coast. It is located on the eastern flank of the Busto cape.

First and second beaches of Luarca

		A wide bay sheltered from the attacks of the sea by two breakwaters houses the so-called first and second beach Luarca.
