The Camino de Santiago go through the Valdés council from east to west along the national road N-632 to Canero where follows the N-634 towards Galicia. From the town of Tablizo, bordering Cudillero, to cross the Rio Barayo, bordering the municipality of Navia.

At the height of Tablizo match several paths down the slopes, which should continue, with west course, continuing the climb leaving right the Alto de las Cogruzas and the high of Las Peñas del Bolado, and left the Pico Paradiella, the highest of the mountains of Las Palancas. The way descends the north side of the mountain to the hill Rodiella where zigzag down the slope and reaches Las Estadas Nuevas, spur the end of Las Palancas that leads to San Pelayo de Tehona.

From here the route continues to cross the Cortina to Cadavedo road and move to the opposite side, the Monte Llamas side, which skirts the north end in progressive decline up to Villademoros, where it reaches the N-632.

The road continues across the road due west, passing through Cueto, La Cruz and La Venta. Leaves behind many crossings which must not deviate us, and we must follow the general direction of Road to the west.

The route crosses El Chano of Canero, descends to Ventorrillo, and back to the church of San Miguel de Canero, where he began his descent into Esva Valley, whose river is saved by the bridge of the N-634, which continues for about 500 meters until you reach a sharp curve. At the right of the road are preserved the called "Casa del barco", where formerly they crossing the river by ship.

It descends to the stream of the Forcón and climb the opposite slope to southwest direction, reaching the plateau where is situated El Barreiro and the ruined Casa del Monte, the point where the road drops to the valley of the Ricante stream connecting with the path of the old N-634. It continues until a deviation to the right that leads to Barcia.

The original route through El Cruceiro and rises in the neighborhood of La Cruz to the Fondón of La Magdalena, to climb to Barcellina through Mingone. It connects here with the Faro road which is followed by Villar and Torrealtina, and turn left down the street from La Carril will reach the neighborhood of La Puerta de la Villa to go into Luarca.

El Camino go out of Luarca, down La Peña street, and reaching El Chano. Follow southwest direction and takes Otero, down to La Olla stream, and heads to Taborcías from where, after passing a bridge over the railroad tracks, follows up from La Caleya to Villuir.

Crosses the N-634 and is moving with the same direction another 500 meters, after which it takes a detour to the right. The route continues along the southern of Las Pontigas, Casa Manteca and north of Fervencia for, by the foothills of Pico Quemado, go through Cabornas, La Pedrera, La Casona, Rellón and Los Remedios.

The route goes up the Saguniento hill, at the northwest of Los Remedios, through the valley of the Mayor river and once crossed the Boronas road, goes to Las Hervedosas. Moves west from Monte Faro and El Infernón and descends to the old country. On the left will continue, already in the council of Navia, by Bao and Barayo to Villainclán.
